AMO Rendering/Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

Last updated July 2026

1. About These Terms

These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to every quotation, estimate and rendering, insulation or exterior finishing project carried out by AMO Rendering ("we", "us", "our"). By requesting a quote, accepting a quote, or instructing us to carry out work, you ("the Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Quotations and Estimates

Quotations are based on the information, photographs and site details provided by the Customer at the time of enquiry. Prices are estimates until confirmed by a full site survey where required, and remain valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. If the actual condition of the property, substrate or access differs materially from what was described or photographed, we reserve the right to revise the quotation before work begins, and will notify the Customer of any change before proceeding.

3. Deposits and Payment

A deposit may be required before work is scheduled or materials are ordered, with the balance due on completion unless a different payment schedule has been agreed in writing. Payment can be made by the methods offered at the time (including online card payment). Late payment may incur reasonable administrative costs and can result in work being paused until payment is received.

4. Cancellations

The Customer may cancel a confirmed booking by giving reasonable written notice. Where materials have already been ordered or work scheduled, the Customer may be liable for costs reasonably incurred up to the point of cancellation, including any non-refundable deposit already paid to third-party suppliers.

5. Access and Site Conditions

The Customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property, including any parking, scaffolding permissions, or neighbour/right-of-way consents needed to carry out the work. The Customer must inform us of any known issues (structural, damp, asbestos, party wall matters, or planning/listed building restrictions) before work begins. Where planning permission or listed building consent is required for the proposed works, obtaining it is the Customer's responsibility unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

6. Weather and Programme

Rendering, insulation and exterior finishing work is weather-dependent. Application in unsuitable temperatures, rain, or frost can affect the quality and durability of the finish, so we reserve the right to reschedule work for weather reasons. We will keep the Customer informed of any changes to the expected programme and will not unreasonably delay the works.

7. Workmanship and Guarantee

We guarantee our workmanship against defects arising from faulty application for a period stated on your invoice or completion certificate (commonly a minimum of 2 years for workmanship, with manufacturer material guarantees applying separately and typically running longer). This guarantee does not cover damage caused by structural movement, extreme weather events, impact damage, lack of routine maintenance, or work carried out or altered by others after completion.

8. Materials, Colour and Finish

Colours, textures and finishes shown in samples, brochures or visualiser tools are a close representation but may vary slightly from the finished result due to lighting, substrate, application method and natural material variation. We will use reasonable skill to match the agreed sample as closely as practicable.

9. Liability and Insurance

We hold public liability insurance for the work we carry out. Our liability is limited to direct loss or damage caused by our negligence in carrying out the work, and does not extend to indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our work, please contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate and put things right. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and resolve them fairly and without unnecessary delay.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
